What Is the Subclass 186 Visa?

The nominated position must be full-time, on the list of permitted occupations, and available for at least two years.

Eligibility Requirements

The Subclass 186 visa has requirements for the employer, the position, and the applicant:

The visa application must be filed within six (6) months after the nomination has been approved.

Active Australian Business

The employer must operate legally and actively in Australia.

Commitment to Training

The employer must be dedicated to retraining current staff.

Full-Time Position

The nominated role must be full-time and on the list of permitted occupations.

Two-Year Role

The position must be available for at least two years.

Skilled Experience

A minimum of three years of deemed experience per the relevant skills assessment body.
