Temporary Skill Shortage visa TSS (Subclass 482) Visa

A Temporary Skill Shortage visa permits firms to sponsor foreign employees to fill nominated skilled positions for a limited period.

As part of the visa application procedure, 482 visa applicants must have an employer willing to sponsor them. Before a prospective employee can apply for a 482 visa, the employer must complete specified sponsorship and nomination requirements.

Subclass 482 Procedures

The following streams determine years of visa grant and pathway, which must be carefully considered before applying for a visa.

  • Short-Term Stream: This type of stream is open if the employer wants to employ you for a TSS visa temporarily exclusively in occupations specified on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). It can be used to fill positions for up to two years or four years if an International Trade Obligation (ITO) is in place.
  • Medium-Term Stream: If the business wants to employ you (as an overseas skilled worker) for up to 4 years, the skill should be in the occupations list of the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) or the Regional Occupation List (ROL) for a TSS visa, this stream is accessible.
  • Labor Agreement Stream: If your company intends to sponsor you (as an overseas worker) and has engaged in a labor agreement with the Department, this stream is accessible.

Temporary work visas in Australia have always been important in getting skilled migrants to Australia. Subclass 482 has some pros and cons, and as every company has its own requirements, we at WILS Migration understand the requirements of the employer and then advise accordingly.

The subclass 482 visa in Adelaide gives the employee a work visa for 2 years, which can be further extended by 2 years but depends on a variety of factors depending upon the industry, market requirements and the skill of the person appointed.

Why to choose WILS Migration.

  • We at WILS Migration understand the requirements of the employer and suggest the pathway accordingly.
  • Our high success rate in the employer-sponsored visa is due to the depth of detail we go in for every application. The process of Employer Nomination is quite complex, and the chances of approval are low if proper documentation evidence and reports are not provided at the time of lodgement.
  • Our 3 step IPR method has given us the expertise in dealing with all kinds of the profession in an employer-sponsored stream of Australia. As this visa stream involves a lot of investment and consumes time, proper guidance from a Registered Migration Agent is a must.
  • We have a fixed fee for the entire process and do not charge extra if the Department or any other decision-making body asks for more documents. You have to pay as per the stage we proceed, and we will inform you as and what is required.

Our 3-step IPR method has made us one of the best Migration Agents in Australia, as we take care of the minutest details. Our Mission is to give the best advice at the least cost, and that makes us the best in the industry
